June 2020 Student Loan Debt and Savings Update

I’m well overdue for providing a Student Loan Debt and Savings Update. June 2020 is here and I think we can all agree that this isn’t how we expected the middle of 2020 to be going. However, I am thankful to be still here, healthy and well. This is actually my first debt payoff update […]

I’mma let y’all finish Spring Break and all bu I’mma let y’all finish Spring Break and all but I have to say, I’m a bit jelly because I want to be on Spring Break too 🥺

Beach me please! 😂

But Don’t mind me, I’m just over here living vicariously through everyone’s IG posts, IG stories and checking my savings account while simultaneously checking my calendar to see when I can be on vacay too! 😂

Where are you planning to vacation at this year?
Knowing that we can own more than 1 property at a Knowing that we can own more than 1 property at a time was eye opening!

When you are the first to do something or it’s not deemed “normal” it can be a little intimidating or even scary!

But seeing that we can own more than one property, why not make the next property we own an income property 🤷🏾‍♀️

Therefore; that’s our plan! 👨‍👩‍👧 (PS: @apple where are the Black and Brown family emojis)

How about you? Do you own an income property or plan to acquire any? 👇🏾
The financial scarifies made last year and the pri The financial scarifies made last year and the prior years - paid off. Because of paying down debt, consistently investing in our investment accounts and saving money - we were able to buy our new house without selling our old house.

You know what’s even crazier - right now we have ownership of our first house; our current house and an apartment!

I don’t take any of it for granted but all of that took work and some major sacrifices!
Hello April! 🤗 I need you to come on in here wi Hello April! 🤗
I need you to come on in here with the sense your momma gave you and sit on down. 💺💺💺

I’m extremely delighted that Quarter 1 of 2021 is over because I almost quit my job because of the time away from my family, commute and inability to secure a contract on a resale home. It was frustrating, stressful and the paycheck wasn’t worth it to me with no end in sight!

That’s right, I was ready to quit my job in NC and go right back to SC!

But God ....

Thank God a new home came on the market that was still being built and we were able to buy that one. However, it wouldn’t be ready until March so we moved into an apartment with about 10% of our belongings and everything else went into storage!

Well yesterday, we closed on our new house and today the remaining 90% of our belongings arrived on this beautiful moving truck!

They even classified me as “executive class” - thats cool and all but where is the executive pay! 😂😂😂

Anywho, Happy April Y’all, Happy New Beginnings and Happy Quarter 2!

What are you looking forward to in this new month?👇🏾
